Chat

The open persona keeps one transcript. Focus and Transcript are two views of it. Hide scheduled keeps scheduled runs out of the transcript without deleting them. When they are hidden, the button reads Scheduled hidden.

On a phone, the persona title opens Session and topics with the same controls.

Main chat is one continuous thread. It has no session id, and the window filling does not end it. The next message continues the conversation you already have.

You can still separate that thread. Topics title stretches of the same log. Selecting a title does not open a new chat. The controls are under Topics.

A named session is optional. Use it when you want a second transcript under the same persona. The session picker sits in the header. Main chat is the entry with no separate id. Create a session from the picker or from the command palette. Delete a session from the picker. Switching sessions does not start a new persona.

The rail beside the thread is how you separate work inside the continuous log. Selecting a title does not open a new session.

  • Jump scrolls the transcript to that stretch. In Focus, it opens that topic’s dossier.
  • Rename, pin, merge into the previous topic, or delete a topic from the rail.
  • Refresh asks for a new segmentation. Closed topics and titles you edited stay.
  • Split starts a new topic at a message in the transcript.
  • New session on a topic opens a session seeded from that topic.

Focus shows the dossier for the selected topic: earlier and later pages, and a jump back to a message. The composer there offers a topic session instead of a free send.

Topic titles come from the system LLM job Topic split. If that pair is missing, the job is skipped. See Settings → System LLM.

A side chat stays attached to this thread. Open one from a message, or pick it in the header. On Transcript with a wide window it sits in a split pane. Otherwise it opens as an overlay.

From the side pane you can send, add a turn back to the main chat, delete the side chat, or close it. The command palette lists recent side chats.

On a message you can quote-reply, edit, delete, bookmark, or open a side chat. Bookmarks are listed in the cockpit and jump back to that message. A deleted message stays in the list marked deleted until you remove the bookmark.

Type @Name to invite another persona. Guests answer as themselves, in the order you tagged them, on the host transcript.

/ focuses the composer. Cmd/Ctrl + Enter sends. Esc clears a quoted reply.

The service briefing sits above the thread on a desktop. On a phone it is at the top of the cockpit sheet. It is not the memory file. See Memory.
