Quickstart

  1. Install the binary. The script does not ask setup questions. The curl command downloads the installer, then a release binary. It does not clone the git repository.
  2. Before you run the installer, write .env in the working directory when a tunnel should reach the desk. Set WEB_HOST, WEB_PORT, and WEB_AUTH_TOKEN there. An existing .env is left as it is.
  3. If .env is still missing, the installer writes one with WEB_HOST=127.0.0.1 and port 10961. Copy .env.example to .env only from a checkout, then set the workspace path.
  4. Run meido start and open http://127.0.0.1:10961.
  5. Finish the wizard. It opens while workspace, vault, a model, the system LLM, MemPalace, or Steel Browser is missing. The web access step sets where the desk listens: this machine (127.0.0.1) or every interface (0.0.0.0), the port, and an access token when the desk is reachable off this machine.

The web cockpit is enough. Messaging channels are optional. The desk map names every control after the wizard closes.
